Major pipeline break impacting water supply across areas of St Andrew
ST ANDREW, Jamaica — The National Water Commission (NWC) is advising its customers that a major pipeline break in Farringdon Heights has caused it to suspend operations at the Cookhamdene Water Facility in St Andrew.
According to the NWC, this has caused a disruption in regular water supply to customers served by this system.
Areas impacted include Jack’s Hill Road and all roads leading off, Tavistock Terrace and all roads leading off, Millsborough Crescent and Avenue and all roads leading off, Riva Ridge, Plymouth Avenue, Farringdon Heights and Drive, Linneman Ave, Doorly Blvd, Widcombe Road, Sunset Ave, Harriman Close.
Additionally, areas in Norbrook, Cherry Gardens, Russell Heights, Barbican as well as areas off Constant Spring Road and other areas.
The NWC is therefore advising the public that repair works being carried out to remedy the situation are estimated to be completed by 10:00 pm on Saturday.
