KINGSTON, Jamaica - Twenty-seven-year-old Rohan Anglin more popularly known as Anchi has been charged with murder following the May 2017 killing of 29-year-old Simon Singh.
According to a release from the police's corporate communications unit, Anglin was taken into custody on Sunday and was charged with murder and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition after a question and answer session.
According to the police, some time in May 2017, Singh was sitting in a motorcar on the roadway when he was pounced upon by armed men who opened gunfire at him. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead. The shooting took place on Fenbrook Avenue in Maverley.
Anglin, who is of a Grenmeade Road address in the community has been on the St Andrew South police's persons of interest list for some time.
