ST JAMES, Jamaica— Montego Bay United (MBU) won their third straight game, beating Arnett Gardens 2-1 while promoted Faulkland FC earned their first points in the Jamaica Premier League after coming from behind twice to draw 2-2 with Tivoli Gardens in a double-header played at WesPow Park on Sunday.

MBU’s win saw them improve to 10 points, same as Harbour View, while Arnett Gardens, who were losing for the first time this season, are in third place on seven points.

Ajuma Johnson gave Arnett Gardens the lead in the 51st minute but the home team stormed back with two late goals, both from set plays.

Donovan Brown equalised from a direct freekick in the 73rd minute and Nevaun Turner rocketed a rebound from the Arnett Gardens goalkeeper Eric Edwards a minute into time added as MBU scored more than one goal in a game for the first time this season.

In the first game, Faulkland ended a three-game losing skid with a gutsy display against Tivoli Gardens.

Three goals were scored in a two-minute span in the first half as Justin Dunn gave Tivoli Gardens the lead in the 35th minute.

Enrique Gordon responded in the 36th minute to level for Faulkland FC but Diego McKenzie restored Tivoli’s lead in the 37th minute.

Shannoy Anderson was well positioned in time added to score from close range and give Faulkland their first point in the competition.

Meanwhile, Harbour View beat Humble Lion 1-0 in a game that saw three red cards being issued while Molynes United edged Vere United in another game that saw multiple expulsions.
