#NationalTrials: Tapper eyeing another national 100mh title
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Megan Tapper of Elite Performance Track Club clocked 12.44 seconds to lead the qualifiers into Sunday’s final of the women’s 100m hurdles.
Tapper, who is the only Jamaican woman to win an Olympic medal in the event, finished ahead of Amoi Brown of MVP (12.61) and Danielle Williams of Adidas (12.61).
Semi-final one went to Yanique Thompson of Sprintec Track Club (12.53). NCAA outdoor champion Ackera Nugent of the University of Arkansas clocked 10.80 for second, while Paula Salmon of North Carolina University finished third in 12.95.
Crystal Morrison of Racers Track Club (12.70) and Rosealee Cooper of Mississippi University (13.73) also booked their spots in the final.
The final of the event will take place at 6:12 pm tomorrow.
