#PennRelays: Five Jamaican schools qualify for 4x400m finals

PHILADELPHIA, United States- ISSA Champs gold medallist Hydel High and Edwin Allen are set for a rematch in the 4x400m Championships of Americas finals on Friday’s second day of the 126th Penn Relays at Franklin Field in Philadelphia after they qualified on Thursday’s opening day.

Five Jamaican schools including defending champions Holmwood Technical are into the finals set to be run in the afternoon.

Hydel High set the pace with a swift but easy looking 3:39.34 seconds, as Holmwood Technical ran 3:41.95 seconds to win their heat as well.

Edwin Allen clocked 3:45.29 seconds to hold off St Jago High, who also qualified with 3:49.50 seconds, while Excelsior High’s 3:51.15 seconds also saw them get into the decider.
