Plane crashes in St Mary - one person reportedly dead

ST MARY, Jamaica – Police have confirmed that a small plane crashed in the Whitehall area of Tremlsonsworth near Highgate in St Mary on Friday morning.

OBSERVER ONLINE understands that two persons were aboard the aircraft including the pilot.

It is understood that one of the two has since died. Police are currently at the scene, along with members of the fire department and an ambulance from Port Maria Hospital.

Efforts to speak with Bobette Simpson-Morgan, head of the St Mary police division, have so far proven futile.
