Rushane Patterson to meet with police on Thursday, says senior cop
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The police have indicated that Rushane Patterson, the individual named a person of interest in the death of social media influencer Aneka ‘Slickianna’ Townsend, is expected to make himself available to the police on Thursday.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Fitz Bailey, made the disclosure during the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s monthly digital press briefing on Tuesday. According to DCP Bailey, contrary to reports, there is nothing to indicate that Patterson has fled the country and says an attorney representing Patterson has indicated he will turn himself in.
“An attorney reached out to me and indicated that he will take him in on Thursday of this week,” DCP Bailey said. “We have nothing to indicate that he (Patterson) has left the country and the matter is actively being pursued at this time. We are in a delicate position at this time,” Bailey added.
Patterson was named as a person of interest in Townsend’s death on October 22. He was reportedly supposed to turn himself into the police last Tuesday. That however did not materialize.

Townsend’s body was fished from the sea in Reading, St James on October 21.
