Several roadways impacted by inclement weather
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The police are advising members of the public that several roadways have been impacted as a result of the inclement weather. The affected roadways are:
*Stony Hill to Guava Gap
*Stony Hill to Finger Post
* Golden Spring Road, between Golden Spring Square and the intersection with Brooks Level Road.
Motorists are being asked to use alternate routes.
Heavy rains have been affecting several parishes across Jamaica for the past few days. According to the Meteorological Service of Jamaica, persistent rains is customary during the month of October. In their latest advisory on Friday, the Met Service said the showers are as a result of a broad area of low pressure over the western Caribbean. It is expected to impact weather conditions over Jamaica throughout the weekend.
The system, which could further develop near to the island over the next few days, is being monitored.
