Taxi operator charged with alleged rape of 15-y-o girl

ST MARY, Jamaica – The police have charged a 31-year-old taxi operator for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl in Decoy district, St Mary.

Charged is Ramone Hoilette, otherwise called ‘Ramsay’ of Jeffrey Town in the parish.

Reports are that on May 31 at about 8:00 am, the teen boarded the taxi operated by Hoilette when he detoured from the designated route.

It is alleged that Hoilette subsequently stopped the vehicle, climbed into the back seat and sexually assaulted the teen.

A report was later made to the police and Hoilette was arrested and charged.
