UPDATE: St Catherine’s most wanted escapes from police lock-up
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The man who was labelled as St Catherine’s most wanted, Rudolph ‘Boxer’ Shaw, has escaped from the Central Kingston lock-up, OBSERVER ONLINE has learnt.
Boxer, who was deported to Jamaica in July after he was captured in the Cayman Islands, was reportedly discovered missing Thursday morning.

Senior Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay, head of the Corporate Communication Unit, the information arm of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, confirmed the jailbreak.
Shaw escaped after an air vent was cut in the passage leading up to Cell 1, one of the maximum security cells of the lock-ups, where he was being housed.
Shaw is charged with the death of 59-year-old Wilfred O’Connor, a carpenter from St Johns Road in St Catherine. O’Connor was shot dead during an incident on Wednesday, September 29, 2021.
Shaw, 30, was charged on August 3 with murder and wounding with intent.
On August 30, there was a jailbreak at the Port Royal police lock-ups where several prisoners escaped.
