Tuesday Style Fashion: #jointhetribe
Local unisex fashion brand Tribe Nine Studios, helmed by fashion designer and creative director Troy Oraine Williamson, has dropped a new collection! The new edit, named The Horizon, echoes cultural differences with the use of traditional prints seen in African townships.
Williamson told Tuesday Style Fashion (TSF) that the inspiration for the rugged yet sartorial aesthetic collection took inspiration from Bob Marley Beach in Bull Bay, St Thomas, one of his favourite places for introspection. “This collection represents a reflection of Tribe Nine’s evolution and a symbol of new beginnings,” he shared.
In prints and hues of blues and oranges, the new drop features ponchos, palazzo pants, longline and cropped jackets, biker jackets, oversized mesh tees, and accessories including bucket hats and scarfs.
“Each print, whether soft or hard, represents the duality of life and the endless possibilities that a new dawn brings, lending a unique and timeless appeal to the collection,” he shared. “A perfect blend of streetwear and luxury, ‘Horizon’ is designed to appeal to the fashion-conscious customer seeking a combination of style and functionality. The colours, cuts, and designs in this collection are meant to evoke feelings of hope, optimism, and renewal.”
TSF fashion rounded up a few show-stoppers from the runway at the collection launch held on February 23, 2023. #JoinTheTribe.
