Business social – September 14

Retirement planning and pension funds were at the tip of everyone’s tongues during the launch of the Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association (JMEA) Retirement Account at the VM Group’s head office in Half-Way-Tree, St Andrew, last Tuesday, September 6, 2022. With the product launch, both the JMEA and VM Pension Management Limited’s top brass inked a memorandum of understanding that will allow the pension fund administrator to market the industry-wide financial iniative to JMEA members, their staff, and families, while introducing them to an array of VM Group’s other services.

Highlights from the event included a passionate call to order from VM Pensions Management Limited boss Conroy Rose to consider retirement planning and an equally passionate charge from Senator Aubyn Hill to close the gap between the pensioned and unpensioned.

Business Social takes you inside the event.

Given his storied past in the financial services industry, Senator Aubyn Hill (left), Jamaica’s minister of industry, investment and commerce, was in familiar territory with Devon Barrett, VM Group’s chief investment officer and head of VM Strategic Unit. (Photo: Garfield Robinson)
