In an act of solicitude and community support, team members from the newly opened Sandals Dunn’s River generously donated time and resources to paint Steer Town Basic School.

The school painting project was aimed at enhancing the learning environment for the students of the early childhood institution. According to Principal Annmarie Cole-Parry, the act of benevolence has not only left a memorable mark on the school, but also sparked a sense of pride within the community.

Principal Cole-Parry noted that the yellow, blue and red hues that now beautify the walls, will serve as an unceasing reminder that the community and Sandals Resorts International stand united in helping to provide the best possible education for the children and future generations to come.

Additionally, according to Parry, the efforts of the newly opened Sandals Dunn’s River have displayed the boundless power of collaboration and philanthropy and the positive impact that can be achieved when businesses and educational institutions come together for a common interest.

In the spirit of gratitude, the principal expressed, “we are indeed appreciative to the Sandals Dunn’s River team and the part they have played in taking our institution a step closer to certification by the Ministry of Education. Much love and continued blessings.”

General Manager of Sandals Dunn’s River, Deryk Meany, underscored his resort’s commitment to making a difference in neighbouring communities. “As the new resort in the area, we are conscious of our role as good corporate citizens and we will continue to lend our support to worthy projects that impact the lives of our community stakeholders,” Meany said.

Sandals Dunn’s River team member Katrice Simpson, who was part of the team that painted the institution, commented that, “I feel elated to be a part of something that will help children feel better about their learning environment and I am happy to be a part of a company that continues to provide aid to our surrounding communities.
