Danny and Nadine Verdura honeymooned at Jamaica’s luxury all-inclusive Sandals Ochi Beach Resort 20 years ago and to mark their emerald anniversary, they journeyed right back to the place they now identify as their second home.

The couple, who married in Virginia, USA, in 2003 at their family home, shared that the service experience at the resort two decades ago was so outstanding they immediately decided they just had to return.

Danny said he vividly remembers languishing in the hot tubs, the food and the friendly conversations. “We had a wonderful time here; the staff feels like family,” he stated.

Moreover, in anticipation of his 20th anniversary, Danny shared that he began to plot a secret romantic getaway to Sandals Ochi Beach Resort by booking the trip two years in advance with an extraordinary itinerary.

This itinerary would see his wife being surprised by luxury private transportation when they landed. Thereafter, the days were carefully orchestrated with help from the Sandals family, including a surprise beachside cabana, a couples massage, breakfast in bed, and much more. On the morning of their anniversary, the concierge team snuck in to help Danny decorate the hotel room with rose petals and candles. He gifted Nadine diamond earrings, but that was only the beginning as later that day she walked into a renewal of vows ceremony.

The private event was set in the garden as the descending sun lit the sky. Wedding planners were on call and in attendance. They were hailed for keeping the ceremony a secret and exceeding every expectation.

“The ceremony was perfect, and the staff was terrific,” Danny said.

Consultant Jovan “Big Jo” Edwards from the concierge department was the best man at the ceremony.

“It was an absolute pleasure to be chosen to share in this memorable moment with the Verduras. An experience and couple I will never forget. I hope they return so we can do it all over again,” Edwards said.
