An intimate dinner party, held at the well-appointed home of Jamaica Tourist Board Chairman John Lynch on Wednesday evening, provided an opportunity for long-time friends to reminisce on the early days of friendship, nation-building and tourism.

Naturally, with Sintra Bronte-Tinkew, special guest of honour, and the woman whose image captured in 1972 by advertising agent Doyle, Dane & Bernbach has been labelled by travel industry heavyweights as the most powerful travel poster, conversation revolved around the shoot.

Amongst those present were newly-weds Jala Bernard and Arthur Williams. Both will soon depart for China where Williams, who was recently Jamaica’s high commissioner to Trinidad & Tobago, will become ambassador.

The easy camaraderie continued over dinner courtesy of award-winning Chef Brian Lumley.
