Suri Cruise goes shoe shopping with Katie Holmes in matching ballet pumps
She loves her kitten heel sandals and everything girly. So it is no surprise that Suri Cruise was happy to accompany her mother on a shoe-shopping trip.
The four-year-old was mesmerised by the different types of heels and boots on sale and seemed particularly fascinated by a pair of gold and diamante stilettoes. Suri, who loves wearing dresses, carrying designer bags and putting on make-up, is so keen to be grown up like mummy Katie Holmes that she went on the shopping trip in a pair of matching shoes.
Katie Holmes, 31, has been criticised in the past for allowing her daughter to wear dancing shoes with low heels. But now it seems she has found a new way to make Suri happy, by buying her a matching pair of her own shoes. They both sported purple ballet pumps as they shopped in Los Angeles yesterday. Suri, in a sundress and pigtails, was carried home by Katie. The youngster appears to be carried everywhere by her mother, despite her growing size, and is allowed to take her blanket too.
And reports in the U.S. claim she continues to drink out of a baby bottle. On the other hand, she already has a designer wardrobe of her own, estimated by some fashion experts to be worth around £2million (US$2.9 million); she’s allowed to wear heeled shoes, have designer handbags and apply lip gloss and blusher. Katie Holmes has defended her daughter’s wardrobe and her wearing heels, despite child experts say they could affect her growth and posture. Last November she said of Suri: “She, like every little girl, loves my high heels. They are actually ballroom dancing shoes for kids,” she said. “I found them for her and she loves them.”

First review of Sex And The City 2 claims movie conjures up ‘scathing portrayal of Muslim society’
Carrie Bradshaw and the ladies of Sex and the City are being accused of being ‘anti-Muslim’.
Sex And The City 2 will find the four friends travelling from New York to Abu Dhabi. However, the first review of the long-awaited film has revealed how the Manolo-wearing fashionistas get entangled in some outrageous moments while in the Middle East.
One scene even features the girls being rescued by Muslim women who strip off their burqas to reveal stylish Western outfits concealed beneath their black robes. The Hollywood Reporter review states Carrie and friends “run up against the puritanical and misogynistic culture of the Middle East.” It continues: “The rather scathing portrayal of Muslim society no doubt will stir controversy, especially in a frothy summer entertainment, but there’s something bracing about the film’s saucy political incorrectness. SATC 2 is at once proudly feminist and blatantly anti-Muslim, which means that it might confound liberal viewers.”
