Be…fashionable…forward…first
Antilia, the entertainment brand is gaining traction down South and has teamed up with some formidable players in Caribbean fashion to create the ultimate lifestyle experience in Trinidad this weekend… aptly dubbed ‘be’.
The three-day event, which climaxes today, is being held at The Carlton Savannah and promises to be the place where international style finds perfect synergy with Caribbean elegance.
Pioneered by the celebrated Charisse Parsons, ‘be’ features a cast of regional talents in the form of celebrities, designers and media personalities with an aim to position the twin-island republic as the Caribbean fashion’s epicentre.
And it doesn’t hurt too that the guest list includes The Rock-flavoured international supermodel Tyson Beckford; noted Trini designer Meiling and former Miss Trinidad & Tobago-cum-desiner Anya Ayoung-Chee. Ayoung-Chee will use the ‘be’ platform as the launching pad for her new collection Anya de Rogue, while the always-revelant Meiling will present her Noir collection. The collection is based on her personal colour of choice, black, and is an exploration of the possibilities and immense freedom of being monochromatic.
Naturally, the verdict going forward for regional integration is… ‘be all you can be’.
