‘Hair’ to party!
Everyone knows summer ushers in parties, and being the femme fatale you are, you simply can’t “paint the town red” with an ordinary hairdo. Under The Dryer teamed up with hair and makeup consultant Stacy Mullings of Stafai’s Beauty Salon to give you some of the hottest party hairstyles. After all, the life of the party must have fabulous hair!
Danielle Greene – Shades of Red
Danielle wanted to ‘up the ante’ this summer with a hairdo that can work for parties as well as other events. Stacy decided to maintain her short-cropped look, using a mixture of two dyes (Adore Crimson and Sunrise Orange) for an edgy look and finished it off with a few face-framing curls to the side and just like that, her look was revitalised. Don’t you just love these fiery hues?
Shantall Hylton – Cute n’ Chic
Shantall’s highlighted bob is cute and chic, but since she’s more conventional, Stacy gave her a layered trim to complement the shape of her face. Using a medium barrel curling iron, she then gave her some spiky flips to enhance the cut and sprayed with Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Sheen to finish. We think it suits her just fine.
Camille Marston – Ready to party
While Camille likes her sassy, Rihanna-inspired cut, she thought it could use a little boost… but wasn’t too keen on the idea of dyeing or bleaching her hair. Stacy therefore shampooed, wrapped and dried her hair, but opted instead for ‘tracking’ the front with two shades of brown extensions. This gave Camille the highlights she needed without damaging her own hair. The extensions were also razor-cut to create a side-swept fringe with a Mohawk to the back and hot-curled using a small barrel iron. Now she’s ready to party!
Jody-Ann Grant – Fiercely fabulous
Stacy added some oomph to this cute pixie cut with a pop of colour and glamorous curls to the front. Her hair was first shampooed, then Adore Jet Black rinse was used to ‘sharpen’ the look of the cut, then wrapped, dried and tracked with three rows of red extensions in the front and hot-curled with a small barrel iron. She was also given a side-swept faux-hawk for a fierce and fun effect. We love it!
Reneice Wilmot – All Curled Up
This little lady has a very feminine style, so Stacy decided to enhance it with some playful drop-curls using a large barrel curling iron for a loose, full look and flirty bounce. Fantasia IC Hair Polisher and Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Sheen were used for added shine. We love this look because it’s not too overdone, works for various occasions and takes very little time to do, and from the look on her face, we’re pretty sure Reneice loves it too.
