Techie’s Night Out…take 4

Tech

Digicel, the official telecoms sponsor for Fashion’s Night Out Jamaica, launched the Digicel 4G Broadband Dongle yesterday and will be offering a 10 per cent discount on the device tomorrow during the five-hour shopping extravaganza.

“We are pleased with the partnership between FNO Jamaica and Digicel — a partnership that allows us to continue to deliver best value to our customers with amazing deals on handsets and our Digicel 4G Broadband dongles for this highly anticipated night which truly promises to be bigger and better,” said Donovan White, Digicel head of marketing.

Participating stores in Kingston include: Anbell New Kingston (which will feature an autograph signing with Tifa), Matate in Tropical Plaza and Sovereign Centre, CelliShac in Manor Park, Fimi Wireless Pavilion, Cellular Technology Twin Gates, CelliShac at the Barbican Centre, Courts Constant Spring and Global Cellular Cross Roads. The Second City will see the following locations participating: Fimi Wireless on St James Street, Comtech on Union Street, Anbell in Fairview Shopping Centre, Total Documents in Bay West, U2 on Barnett Street and Courts (both the Barnett Street and Bogue stores). Not to be outdone, the resort town of Ocho Rios will also facilitate deals as DigiOrder, Source, Luv Chat and U2 Connect will all be a part of FNO in that area.

Tech lovers in the Sunshine City will love the deals they get from Digicel in the Portmore Mall (also featuring autograph signing with Miss Kitty), Portmore Pines and Port Henderson stores, while Spanish Town’s ‘Fashion’s Night Outers’ can opt to enjoy sales at Cellular Jamaica, LOJ (Sagicor) Shopping Centre.

Along with deals on various models from the Nokia line, customers will receive $300 free credit with every purchase (and a free Nokia football with the purchase of select Nokia phones); customers who purchase phones and SIM cards will receive $400 in call credit.

Those who crave devices falling along the higher price range will delight in the 50 per cent discount on all BlackBerrys with the activation of a post-paid account.

Prices of select handsets will be discounted at an outlet near you.
