Prosecutors have charged rapper TI’s wife with one count of misdemeanour drug possession stemming from an arrest last month on the Sunset Strip.

Prosecutors charged Tameka Cottle with possession of ecstasy on Friday and she is due in court for arraignment on Nov 1 in Beverly Hills. The 35-year-old was arrested along with her husband on Sept 1 during a traffic stop.

Prosecutors on Monday declined to charge TI., citing a federal judge’s decision to send him to federal prison for 11 months for violating his probation on weapons charges and the small amount of drugs found on him. A charge evaluation sheet said deputies found four ecstasy pills on the Grammy Award winner.

It was not immediately clear whether Cottle had an attorney.

Bieber to debut music video during World Series

Game three of the World Series will be targeted to teeny-boppers, thanks to Justin Bieber (BEE’-bur).

Major League Baseball says Bieber will debut the music video for his song Never Say Never on Saturday during Game three’s pre-show on Fox.

The best-of-seven series is between the Texas Rangers and the San Francisco Giants. The Giants won the first two games of the series in San Francisco.

Game three will take place in Arlington, Texas. Former American Idol champion Kelly Clarkson will sing the national anthem in her home state.

The 16-year-old Bieber sports gear from both teams in the Never Say Never clip, which was shot at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif.

Late-Night Comics happy to joke about Barack Obama

Late-night comics are over any initial eluctance to make President Barack Obama the butt of their jokes.

The Center for Media and Public Affairs found that Obama was the most joked-about political figure this year through Labour Day. The Washington-based think-tank said Friday that Jay Leno, David Letterman, Jon Stewart and Jimmy Fallon joked about Obama a total of 309 times. Sarah Palin, with 137, was a distant second.

That’s in line with the level of jokes levied at Presidents George W Bush and Bill Clinton. Comics initially had a difficult time zeroing in on Obama — he was fourth behind John McCain, Bush and Palin as a butt of jokes during the year he was elected president.

The report says most Obama jokes portray him as disinterested or ineffective. Much of them are tied to policy.
