Smiling Laura Dern unveils her Walk Of Fame star
A month ago Laura Dern was left ‘blindsided’ following her husband Ben Harper’s surprise petition for divorce.
Yesterday, in her first public appearance since the split, she was pictured smiling and happy as she unveiled her star on Hollywood’s Walk Of Fame.
In place of her husband, Laura’s actor parents Bruce Dern and Diane Ladd were by her side.
This is the first time that an acting family has been honoured at the same time, with all three of the Derns receiving their stars together.
Looking the picture of elegance in a black and nude shift dress with silhouetted sweetheart neckline and velvet embellished heels, Laura couldn’t have looked happier.
At one point Laura and father Bruce, 74, shared a warm hug, while she exchanged jokes and laughs with her mother Diane, also 74.
In last month’s filing, Harper cited irreconcilable differences and asked that spousal support be denied to Laura and that the couple share custody of their two children, Ellery nine, and Jaya, five.
Dern met Harper at one of his concerts in 2000. At the time he was separated from his first wife, Joanne, with whom he has two children. After a five-year relationship, Laura and Harper married in 2005.
Captain America star Chris Evans shows off his pecs appeal
A buffed-up Chris Evans is seen shirtless in newly released stills from his forthcoming film Captain America: The First Avenger.
The actor, who plays the title role in the superhero movie, shows off his pecs as he stands opposite his on-screen love interest Peggy Carter, played by British actress Hayley Atwell.
Paramount Pictures has unveiled a batch of pictures ahead of the film’s release next July, with a trailer expected to follow shortly.
The Joe Johnston-directed flick is based on the 1940s Marvel Comics character.
Filming is still underway, with various locations across Britain forming part of the backdrop for the movie. It is being filmed with 2-D cameras, but will be converted into a 3D movie during postproduction.
Other famous faces appearing in the movie include Tommy Lee Jones, Dominic Cooper and Samuel L Jackson.
Kelly Osbourne reveals her dancer’s legs in brief lace minidress as she returns to Dancing With The Stars
It was the show that kick-started her glamorous makeover – and Monday night Kelly Osbourne returned triumphant and trimmer than ever to the set of Dancing With the Stars.
The star was wearing a tight black lace mini dress with cutaway see-through panels that showed off her tiny frame as she appeared on the 200th edition of the show, the US version of Strictly.
With a blonde, 50s-style tied-back hairstyle with a heavy fringe, Kelly introduced Bristol Palin onto the dancefloor, as contestants chose to re-enact their favourite dances from past series.
Daughter of US politician Sarah Palin, Bristol chose to recreate Kelly’s Viennese waltz from last year’s series nine.
