Heavy entertainment package for Hague Show
FALMOUTH, Trelawny — The entertainment segment of the 2011 staging of the Trelawny Association of Branch and Societies-JAS Hague Agricultural and Livestock Show is expected to be highlighted by performances from Romain Virgo, Tifa, Charly Black, Medikal and others.
The annual show is set for today at the Hague Showground in Trelawny.
Co-ordinator of the entertainment segment, Medikal guaranteed that the show will be provide ‘clean’ entertainment for the entire family.
“The set will be heavy. I told all the performers that they should do nothing nasty and they agreed,” Medikal told the Observer.
Romain Virgo should be well received by his many fans in western Jamaica. With selections such as Mi Can’t Sleep, Love Doctor, Taking You Home, As De Money Done, Should I Call Her, Wanna Go Home, Dark Skinned Girl and others, he is sufficiently armed to deliver the goods.
Meanwhile, Kiprich who is slated to close the show, will most likely draw selections such as Cyaan Get Brown, Over Mi Shoulder, Cyaan Box Mi, Talk Dem A Talk, Cyaan Trick Me, Telephone Ting, Baby Mama Drama and many more, to ignite the crowd.
But, Trelawny native Charly Black, who should have many fans inside the venue, could end up taking top honours. Tifa should also be a crowd favourite.
Upcoming singjay Antwain, Medikal and Tear Drops are among the others expected to shine during the star section of the show.
Meanwhile, the local section should see the likes of Sister Doreen, Jack Ruby, Mad Alien, Jahwill, Blue Flames, Marvin Douglas, Copper Ranks and others.
Marvin Douglas told the Observer that he will use the show as opportunity to springboard his fledgling entertainment career.
Kemistri Band is set to back the all acts, while music will be provided by Mild and mellow Sound System from Negril.
