#LondonDL: Dwyer 7th in 200m as Americans sweep race
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica’s Rasheed Dwyer laboured to seventh in the men’s 200m in 20.49s (-0.7) at the London Diamond League. The race was won by American champion Ameer Webb in 20.13 ahead of the promising Fred Kerley in a personal best of 20.24s.
Dwyer was join in lane two, was never in the hunt and will have to improve significantly to make a mark at the World Championship in August.
Former Kingston College star Zharnel Hughes of Anguilla, now representing Great Britain, was fifth in 20.33s. Isaiah Young of the USA complete the American sweep finishing third in 20.24s.
