Ken Boothe to perform at 12th annual Rhythms of Africa in Miramar
FLORIDA, United States — Veteran singer Ken Boothe is set to perform at the 12th annual Rhythms of Africa event in Miramar Florida.
The City of Miramar, in collaboration with Embrace Music Foundation, recently announced the return of the event which will take place on April 26 to 27 at the Miramar Cultural Center.
Described as a dynamic cultural event by promoters, it will be hosted by Mayor Wayne Messam and will showcase the talents of local youth alongside internationally acclaimed musicians.
Under the leadership of Willie Stewart, former drummer of Third World, students from Somerset Academy High School will perform following 40 hours of training in African drumming and percussion.
Joining them will be legendary reggae icon Boothe, violinist Demola, performers Jiggy Jack & Jacky Ambroise (formerly known as Strings), and the Rhythms of Africa Band.
Stewart, emphasised the event’s deeper impact stating, “Music changes lives. These young performers have poured their hearts into this journey, showing us all how rhythm and dedication can unite communities across generations.”
