Last Thursday evening, the ballroom at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel was transformed into a hub of celebration for the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce’s 40th Annual Awards Banquet. This grand event lauded business ingenuity, resilience, and growth — operating under the theme “Shaping the Future: Driving Productivity, Championing Equity, Inspiring Entrepreneurship.” The evening paid tribute to small, medium, and large enterprises demonstrating these qualities, with a powerful keynote address from minister without portfolio with responsibility for Efficiency, Innovation and Digital Transformation Audrey Marks, who emphasised the crucial role of resilience in Jamaica’s economic progress. Among the awardees was Scotiabank which claimed the Best of Chamber Award for Extra-Large Enterprises.
