ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — People’s National Party (PNP) candidate for St Catherine East Central, Raymond Pryce, has commended party president Mark Golding for his performance during last Thursday’s national leadership debate.
“When Markie G step out pan di debate stage him angle (handle), triangle and rectangle dat. The only thing that Andrew could do a tangle up himself,” Pryce said during the party’s tour of Portmore on Saturday.
Speaking at the Southborough constituency office of Fitz Jackson, Pryce added, “According to ‘tangle’ Andrew, not because you’re born in Jamaica, you’re Jamaican.”
He was again referencing the August 28 leaders’ debate between Golding and Prime Minister Andrew Holness, where Golding sought to put rumours about his birth to rest by producing a birth paper, and Holness responded by saying it wasn’t just birth that made someone Jamaican, but their choices.

In response, Pryce said, “All a we more Jamaican than Nigel (Clarke) because Nigel take a flight, all a we more Jamaican than Kamina because when our students were in Ukraine and Markie G sent for them Kamina did a pree wah work inna London and campaigning for the work inna London.”
Pryce continued, “So if the prime minister says it’s the choices that you make that make you Jamaican, Nigel not Jamaican and Kamina not Jamaican either.”
