Protesters refer to Trump as ‘Hitler of our time’ at DC restaurant
WASHINGTON, United States — United States (US) President Donald Trump was confronted by protesters at a Washington, DC restaurant in a brief but tense encounter captured in a 55-second clip shared by the Washington Post.
Trump and some of the most prominent members of his cabinet including the Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, as well as Vice President JD Vance, were scheduled to dine at the Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab, just two blocks from the White House, when they were approached by the protesters.
In the video, the demonstrators can be heard chanting, “Free DC! Free Palestine! Trump is the Hitler of our time.”
The protest prompted a response from Secret Service agents surrounding Trump.
“Come on, let’s go. Get them out of here,” Trump is heard saying as security personnel move to escort the women from the premises.
“He’s terrorising communities in DC. He’s terrorising communities all over the world,” one of the protestors yells as they are escorted out.
