Jamaica Music Museum (JaMM), in collaboration with the Programmes Coordination Division at the Institute of Jamaica, invites the public to a special festive lunchtime concert, ‘Carolin’, as the community looks forward to renewed hope and holiday spirit following the devastating experience of Hurricane Melissa.

The performance will feature the exceptional talents of the National Chorale of Jamaica under the distinguished baton of Conductor Winston Ewart.

The concert, which is free to the public, will take place on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 12:30 pm, in the Lecture Hall at the Institute of Jamaica, located at 10-16 East Street, Kingston.

Contributions, however, are encouraged towards the Institute of Jamaica’s hurricane relief fund.

In a time when the community seeks comfort and joy, this concert aims to provide a moment of respite and celebration.

JaMM’s Director Herbie Miller highlighted the significance of the event in bringing the community together through music.

“Come one and all to this family affair and let’s all sing in joyous voices as a reminder that the resilience of the Jamaican people has used songs to overcome our adversities, going back even before enslavement,” said Miller.

Attendees will enjoy a rich and varied programme of Christmas selections, blending international classics with beloved Jamaican carols.

The public is encouraged to contribute whatever non-perishable groceries and/or monetary donations are affordable to the Institute of Jamaica’s hurricane relief effort for those who have suffered devastation from the hurricane.

Program selections will include African Star Carol, Candlelight Carol, Early Christmas Morning, Jamaica Noel, Never a Baby, Run Come Quick, Tenk You For The Christmas, among others.

The concert will culminate in a communal sing-along, inviting all present to join in the spirit of the season with some favourites.
