KINGSTON, Jamaica — Six men, including two taxi drivers and a 62-year-old, have been slapped with multiple offences for their alleged involvement in a storehouse robbery in St Ann.

Charged with storehouse breaking and larceny, receiving stolen property, accessory after the fact, and conspiracy to storehouse breaking and larceny are:

• 62-year-old Barrington Brown, a labourer of Brown’s Town, St Ann;
• 42-year-old Edwando Hill, a taxi operator of Brown’s Town, St Ann;
• 33-year-old Nicoy Rowe, otherwise called ‘Scubby’, a taxi operator of Brown’s Town, St Ann;
• 32-year-old Ansel Pryce, otherwise called ‘Blacks’, a labourer of Brown’s Town, St Ann;
• 20-year-old Kevin Hall of Alexandria, St Ann, and
• 19-year-old Akil Virgo, otherwise called ‘Little Man’, a labourer of St Ann.

Reports are that about 2:30 pm Tuesday, November 25, a man securely locked the storeroom at a business establishment on Stand Fast Road, Brown’s Town, and left.

On his return the following day, he noticed the storeroom had been broken into.

The police were alerted and, on their arrival, noticed the culprits had cut the padlock to a metal door to gain entry to the storeroom. It was further reported that holes were found in the fence line, alleged to be used to gain entry to the property.

A report was made to the police, and an investigation was launched during which cops reportedly recovered several stolen items from the accused men. The men were charged following a caution statement on Monday, December 29.

Their court date is being finalised.
