SAINT Int’l models star in new Casablanca and Level Shoes campaigns

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Whether of Jamaican or Nigerian heritage, models from SAINT International continue to maintain the global fashion industry’s seal of approval.

Jamaica’s Romaine Dixon and Nigeria’s Aworo Mayowa separately booked recent e-commerce fashion assignments for Level Shoes and Casablanca, both of which debuted online this month.

Mayowa stars in the just-dropped Beach and Resort 2026 collection from the uber-hot Casablanca, which Town and Country Magazine hailed as “the fashion label of choice for the Gen Z jet set” and notes tennis superstar Coco Gauff and supermodel Bella Hadid as fans.

The Nigerian beauty, discovered on Instagram by SAINT’s Chief Executive Officer, Deiwght Peters, and signed in 2018, is dressed in Casablanca’s monogram sleeve silk shirts, silk dresses, workwear jackets, a monogram string bikini top and bottoms, plunge swimsuits, and more.

The brand was launched in Paris by its founder and creative director, Charaf Tajer.

His new resort collection is inspired by Los Angeles, where Casablanca recently opened its first American store on Santa Monica Boulevard.

“It’s great repping a cool brand like Casablanca, and it was a job I was thrilled to book,” Mayowa shared with Observer Online.

“I love the fresh vision and the womenswear pieces are right on trend,” added the SAINT star who is signed to Why Not Models in Milan and Wilhelmina modelling agency in London, where she has called home for the last five years since relocating from Nigeria.

“Casablanca is where it’s at with hot looks, and this resort collection for me is a winning wardrobe of one fab look after another,” Mayowa said.

An English literature graduate from Lagos State University, Mayowa made her international debut for Balenciaga’s Fall/Winter 2019 show, directly booked by Peters from Jamaica.

She has worked extensively and consistently in London, Germany and Italy, walking runway shows for Alberta Ferretti, Roksanda and Emiilia Wickstead, and shooting lookbooks and campaigns for Margaret Howell and ME + EM.

Meanwhile, Mayowa’s SAINT stablemate Dixon is happy as a lark with his brand-new campaign work for the Dubai-based footwear e-retailer Level Shoes.

The now New York-resident fashion star, who hails from Sligoville in St Catherine, booked the job through his Empire State agency, Society Management.

“It was a one-day shoot and the mood on set was very chill,” Dixon disclosed of the photoshoot for Level in Manhattan. It was lensed by Garrett Naccaratto last October. “We did shots inside the studio on the 18th floor of the WSA Building and also around Water Street by the harbour area.”

Level Shoes is an increasingly popular brand for its mix across accessible, luxury and emerging brands, including Brunello Cucinelli, Chloe, Dolce and Gabbana, New Balance, Jacquemis and Khaite. Level Shoes has expanded outside its native Middle East with a recently opened logistics centre in Florida which opened last year.

Scouted and signed by SAINT in 2018, Dixon launched his international career in 2018, and has appeared in advertising campaigns for luxury fashion houses Dior, Fendi and Hermes.

SAINT boss Deiwght Peters was circumspect about the latest bookings secured by his globally scattered model talent.

“It’s a testament to the allure and cachet of SAINT models that influential and expanding brands in fashion want to use their visages. Romaine’s new Level Shoes campaign and Aworo’s Casablanca job are proof positive that SAINT is still rocking 25 years since our founding,” Peters said.

“I’m proud of the focus, dedication and hard work that Aworo and Romaine have made standards in their professional lives, for the last eight years, and know there is even more promising future jobs they will get,” he added.
