Humble Lion FC will hope to rebound from their first loss of the season and retake the lead in Zone B of the Jamaica Football Championships today when they take on Petersfield FC at Effortville Community Centre, starting at 3:30pm.

Humble Lion FC were upended 2-0 by STETHS Elite FA last weekend and slipped to second place in the group but a win today would see them move past idle Roaring River.

Also today, St Ann teams Lime Hall Academy and Sakka Club Brown’s Town, on 10 points each, will both also be hoping to start another run of wins after both were held to draws last weekend.

Reno FC will be going after a third straight win after last week’s break, while Trelawny clubs Duncan’s United and Trelawny United will clash.

Humble Lion FC will hope to get over their stumble last weekend when they host Petersfield FC who have won just one of their three games played so far and scoring just two goals.

Humble Lion FC are one of the most consistent teams so far in the competition and will hope Nathaniel Henry and Douglas Whitely will be able to get them back to winning ways.

Only goal-difference separate Lime Hall who will host the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) and Sakka Club Brown’s Town who will take on Meadforest FC in a double header at Drax Hall.

The JDF have won just two of their five games, both by big margins and are coming off an 8-0 whipping of Progressive FC at Up Park Camp last weekend.

Lime Hall Academy were held 1-1 away to WiFi FC, ending a three-game winning run and will be eager to rebound against the army men, at home.

Sakka Club Brown’s Town had shared six goals with Tru-Juice in a 3-3 draw and are up against a Meadforest team that has struggled to find any consistency so far this season. Meadforest, who were semi-finalists last season, have won once and have scored a single goal from their three games played.

Reno FC have shown signs of getting into high gear after back-to-ack wins and face St Bess United, who have failed to score in their last three games.

Reno FC who had picked up one point from their first two games, scored ‘shut-out’ wins in their last two games and will be going after a third straight win today.

The Trelawny teams have gotten off to a slow start with Falmouth United finally getting a win last weekend, a 7-0 beating of Holland PYC and will go into today’s game with confidence against Duncan’s United who have not scored in their last three games, since a 1-1 draw in their opening game.

Kevon Donaldson who scored a hat-trick for Falmouth United and Ahmal Nugent-Hudson who has scored four goals so far will be hoping to lead their team to consecutive wins.

True-Juice who are third in Zone A, will be away to Progressive FC who have conceded 17goals in their four losses while STETHS Elite will set their sights on three points when they travel the short distance to Lacovia Community Centre to take on Holland PYC.
