Kenne Blessin and Nanamous team up for We Worship Riddim
Artistes and producers often talk about how spontaneous song inspiration takes place in recording studios. That is exactly what happened when singers Kenne Blessin and Nanamous met in Atlanta, Georgia in 2025.
Kenne Blessin, a lovers’ rock reggae act, and Nanamous, a gospel artiste, were grooving to a soca ‘riddim’ when they had the proverbial light-bulb moment.
“He always told me he wanted to be on a soca/islands beat and then he heard this rhythm. I said to him, ‘we should put more artists on it’. And that’s how we choreographed a few of the artistes he’s worked with,” recalled Kenne Blessin.
It inspired the We Worship Riddim, a six-song EP which was released in January. It is produced by Kenne Blessin for his Dacosta Music Company.
The EP is also his first official collaboration with Nanamous, Kenne Blessin’s cousin, who also promotes gospel shows in Atlanta.
Kenne Blessin’s song on the project is Where, while Nanamous teams with Azizi on We’ve Been Waiting.
Other songs on the EP are We Worship You by Uni’Verss, an American of Jamaican descent; My Cry by Cassandra Glory; Winning Season by Lee Priest Johnson; and The Moment by Israel Onova, who is from Nigeria.
Kenne Blessin is from St Thomas. One year ago, he released Caught My Attention, his second album which was followed in September by the Blue Flame Riddim, a four-song EP he co-produced.
