Fresh off his second nomination at the Grammy Awards, reggae singer Jesse Royal is showing no signs of slowing down. Even as he continues to bask in the coveted global recognition, the artiste says he remains focused on creating more music while strengthening his connection to his fans.

In a recent interview with the Jamaica Observer, the “Small Axe” revealed that he has already begun expanding No Place Like Home, the body of work that earned him his latest Grammy nomination, confirming plans for a deluxe edition of the album that will include new material for supporters who embraced the project.

“So mi just drop a new song named Ignite, which is going to be in the deluxe version of my album that just got nominated for the Grammy,” he shared. “There will also be two dub songs and another new song because we like to serve the people and they loved the album, so why not give them something extra where that is concerned. We really respect our audience, so we like to give them special things before treating them to something new and fresh.”

The singer then went on to reveal that, as work continues on that ‘brawta’ project, the creative process is already moving forward on another.

He told the Observer that he’s already begun work on an entirely new project.

“We’re going to work on new material as we speak, so we can give them even more music and touch base with our fans in another way. So that’s what’s up next,” he noted.

Beyond the studio, the reggae singer is also preparing to bring the music to audiences around the world.

Touring plans are also already in motion with stops expected across the United States, Europe, and the United Kingdom.

“We’re just excited to continue sharing the music,” he said.

With new music on the horizon, the singer appears determined to ensure that his second Grammy nod serves as a launching pad for the next chapter of his career.

“I’m a Grammy regular now, and me know me have a couple Grammys to win in my lifetime,” he said confidently. “So we just a gwaan learn what we need to learn, do what we need to do, so we can earn what we need to earn.”
