Twenty-five-year-old Montego Bay-based beatmaker and producer Justin “Mvssivh” Junagadala and dancehall star Popcaan are featured on two of Drake’s albums, which were released on Friday.

The Canadian rapper released three albums: the 18 track Iceman, Habibti which has 11 songs and Maid of Honour, which also bears 11 tracks.

Popcaan is featured on the track Amazing Shape, which is included on Maid of Honour, while Mvssivh contributed to Ran to Atlanta, a collaboration between Drake, Future and Molly Santana. Mvssivh also contributed to a track on Maid of Honour titled New Bestie. That song sees Drake making reference to Vybz Kartel in part of its lyrics.

In a post on Instagram, Mvssivh commented under the artwork for Iceman: “Ran to Atlanta featuring @Future and @mollysantana produced by yours truly and the guys.”

The “guys” he referred to include Wheezy and Southside, both of whom share production credits on the track.

In another post on IG, Mvssivh commented under the artwork for Maid of Honour: “Still can’t process this…contant sleepless nights for the last three years to make this play happen. God is the greatest…the show keeps going.”

Mvssivh, who is from the community of West Gate in St James, attended Heinz Simonitch and Hillel Academy. He has been producing since a teenager.

Other artistes featured on the Drake albums include Sexyy Red, PARTYNEXTDOOR and Central Cee.

Two other Jamaicans contribute to the new Drake albums. National Treasures (featured on Iceman) was co-produced by Matthew “Boi-1da” Samuels, while Which One featuring Central Cee lists a songwriting credit for Tyshane Thompson, better known as BEAM, the son of gospel artiste Papa San.
