Gin N Juice kicks off summer on June 20
Popular Retro party, Gin N Juice, is set to ignite the summer festivities with its much-awaited return on June 20.
Scheduled for the picturesque Cherry Garden Great House in St Andrew, the event promises to immerse participants in a lively and nostalgic ambience that echoes the enchanting era of nightlife’s golden age.
The event aims to capture the vibrant essence of the 1980s, 1990s, and early 2000s, a period renowned for its lively social interactions and a profound sense of community. During these decades, gatherings were marked by an infectious energy, where friends and families came together to celebrate life through music, dance, and shared experiences.
Gregg Smith, one of the co-promoters of the event, elaborated on its primary objectives, emphasising the importance of allowing friends and acquaintances to reconnect and celebrate their enduring relationships.
“Gin N Juice is aptly titled the party of friends, so ultimately our goal is to bring people together who may not have had the opportunity to meet face to face until they gather at Gin N Juice a few times each year. This event serves as a vital platform for rekindling old friendships and strengthening bonds, allowing participants to engage in meaningful interactions that transcend the limitations of distance and time,” Smith told the Jamaica Observer.

Musical juggling will be provided by Bambino, Gabby and Narity.
Smith said that patrons can look forward to the DJs delivering fiery performances.
“The most important ingredient of Gin N Juice is the music, so we only use DJs of a certain calibre who have a reputation of making sure people dance ‘til dem tired. We have worked with DJ Bambino & DJ Narity multiple times, so we know exactly the high level to expect, but the wild card in the deck is DJ Gabby, who is going to prove what we already know, which is that she belongs among the big boys. DJs Gabby is my bet to steal the show, so everyone should come and witness the birth of a super star,” he continued.
He explained that patrons should look forward to the introduction of a new crew deal that will be featured at the event. This innovative offering is designed to allow guests to enjoy the festivities alongside their long-time friends in a more engaging manner.
“This cost-effective deal includes five entry tickets, a que of choice — which can be upgraded to a 750ml — a bistro table, and VIP parking. The crew deal offers the best value for money in a time when stretching every dollar is a must,” the co-promoter said.
