Jamaica’s Webster among Best XI for Concacaf Nations League group stage

Jamaican defender Ronaldo Webster is the lone Reggae Boy named to the Best XI for the recently concluded group stage of the Concacaf Nations League A.

Webster started all four games as the Reggae Boyz finished second in Group B on seven points with two wins, one loss and a draw, which was enough to book their ticket to the quarterfinals of the tournament in November.

Curacao and Haiti have the most players named in the Best XI with three each. Curacao’s midfield pair and brothers Leandro Bacuna and Juninho Bacuna, along with winger Kenji Gorre represent the ‘Blue Wave’, while striker Wilson Isidor, midfielder Danley Jean Jacques and goalkeeper Alexandre Pierre are the Haitians on the side.

Two Guatemalans, winger William Fajardo and defender Aaron Herrera; Dominican midfielder Heinz Morschel; and Honduran defender Luis Vega were also named to the Best XI.
