Stunt Explosion for Sunday
FAST and fearless stunt bikers from all corners of the island will face off for trophies and bragging rights at the Port Antonio Marina in Portland come Sunday.
The venue will host the first instalment of Stunt Explosion, an event set to be a crowd-pleaser for biking enthusiasts and daredevils at heart. Blast-off time is 10 am.
Event organiser and motorcycle enthusiast Curtis Whyte told Auto to expect a range of entertainment the whole family can enjoy.
“People left fascinated after we hosted Bikini Bike Fest at the same venue earlier this year and a number of them have been requesting more stunting events in the area. So we decided to give them an explosion this time around, with more sizzling stunt action and a kiddies’ corner so the kids can enjoy themselves as well, free piercings for ladies, face painting, giveaways, and more,” Whyte told Auto.
Riders set to ignite the tarmac with high-powered excitement include Marlon ‘Crazy Cutter’ Fletcher of the Kingston-based Crazy Bikerz stunt crew, Montegonian Rush Riders Damion ‘Dunga’ Hughes and Shayan ‘Shagga’ Ferguson as well as Damion ‘Superman’ Christian. ‘Crazy Cutter’ told Auto to expect more than his usual repertoire of death-defying stunts.
“I’ll definitely be going for the trophies and the prizes. I’ve ridden on the surface before so I’m familiar with it now, I have a mock-up of it at my practice spot so I’ve been getting in gear for the event; you can expect to see some new tricks. I’m looking forward to representing for Kingston because the MoBay riders have been doing their thing in the West,” said Fletcher.
