TERROR Fabulous, one of the major figures in 1990s dancehall, returned to the big stage in fine form at Rebel Salute Saturday.

The deejay, who has been off the scene for nearly 10 years, was not billed for the show but rolled back the years with a fine set.

He performed two of his big hits, Jah Works and No Retreat, No Surrender, and spurred by the crowd and fellow entertainers, closed in rousing fashion, performing Action and Anything for You with singer Nadine Sutherland.

Night two of Rebel Salute also saw strong performances from I Wayne, Chronixx, Sizzla and Busy Signal. But some patrons like Marcus Stripe of Britain were not pleased with the duration of the show which ended at 8:15 am Sunday.

“It was too drawn out…no one wants to wait until the sun start shining in order to see their favourite acts,” he said.

Rebel Salute 2013 had some firsts. It marked the show’s debut at Richmond Estate in St Ann on the outskirts of the tourist resort, Ocho Rios.

It was also the first time since its 1994 inception that the roots-reggae fest was held over two days.
