11 Jamaicans suspected of prostitution arrested in Bahamas
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Eleven Jamaican women suspected of solicitation for prostitution were on Saturday arrested at a New Providence nightclub in the Bahamas.
According to the Bahamas Tribune, the women are also suspected of being in breach of the Immigration Act.
The Bahamas Tribune said the police team — the Selective Enforcement Team — descended on the nightclub about 2:00 am.
The women, who the police believe were at that location for the purpose of solicitation for prostitution, were subsequently arrested.
Two of the club’s managers were also arrested for breach of the Business License Act, according to the Bahamas Tribune.
