Adam Stewart denies report of Linkages Council resignation
ST JAMES, Jamaica — Chairman of the Tourism Linkages Council Adam Stewart has refuted a claim in today’s publication of the Jamaica Gleaner that he has relinquished the post.
“I just want to set the record straight there was, probably a journalistic error in the Gleaner today, stating that I stepped down as the chairman of the Linkages Council and I just want to say formally that unless the minister (of tourism) fires me, I have no intention of stepping down because I see signal of what you guys are doing,” Stewart asserted.
He was speaking at the opening ceremony of the fourth staging of the Tourism Linkages Speed Network now underway at the Hilton Rose Hall Hotel and Spa, Montego Bay.
The event is attended by 172 representatives of companies, supplying and 79 representatives from companies, buying.
