All set for Altezza Club link up
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Kingston-based Toyota Altezza owner’s club Tezzaworld will hold Tezzaworld Jamaica Link Up: JDM Style tomorrow at Mary Brown’s Corner Texaco Service Station, St Andrew.
The free event will run from 6:00 pm to midnight.
“It should be a fun-filled type of event,” Elvis Byfield, Tezzaworld president, told Auto.
Byfield said Tezzaworld Jamaica Link Up: JDM Style is open to all to participate, but will focus on the brand and model for which his club caters — the Toyota Altezza.
He expects that there will be plenty of cars to ogle at, modified and stock, as well as bikes and the lovely Tezza-girls. Music is also part of the entertainment package.
Tezzaworld Jamaica Link Up: JDM Style marks the first major event for the club since 2013’s Tezza Rush at the same location. Byfield admits that Tezzaworld has been meeting every three to four months in its membership, and now plans to make Tezza Rush into an annual event never materialised in 2014.
“We wanted to have a yearly event after Tezza Rush, but the time constraints meant we couldn’t get it done in 2014. So we waited out the year so we could do it properly in 2015,” he explained.
Byfield says the summer event will signal the start of more visible activity from Tezzaworld for the rest of the year.
