KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica Scorpions are set to take on Windward Islands Volcanoes in Friday’s Professional Cricket League (PCL) match at Sabina Park, starting at 10:00 am.

Scorpions head coach Junior Bennett is expecting a tight contest.

“It will be a hard game. Perhaps in the Caribbean right now they have one of the more experienced teams and they are a good team,” Bennett told OBSERVER ONLINE.

The Scorpions were defeated by 10 wickets in the first-round match by Barbados Pride, who are in joint second place on 17 points. The Volcanoes slumped to a 104-run loss away to early leaders Guyana Jaguars (18 points).

The Scorpions, who occupy last spot in the points standing, have one point thanks to a bowling bonus they received. The fourth-placed Volcanoes have three points, courtesy of one batting and two bowling bonuses.

Trinidad & Tobago Red Force (17 points) and fifth-placed Leeward Islands Hurricanes (two points) complete the points table.
