Car seized occupants arrested after cops find loaded gun
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Two men were arrested Tuesday night and the motorcar in which they were travelling seized, after police reportedly found a firearm and several rounds of ammunition in the vehicle.
According to the constabulary force’s Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), lawmen were on mobile patrol about 10:45 pm, when a blue Nissan Sunny motorcar with two men aboard was intercepted.
The vehicle and its occupants were reportedly searched. The search of the vehicle revealed one Taurus 9mm pistol loaded with seven 9mm rounds of ammunition, CCU said.
The vehicle was seized and the two men were taken into custody in connection with the seizure.
The names of the men are being withheld pending further investigations.
