Cecil Morgan appointed MD at Transport Authority
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Chairman of the Transport Authority, Joseph Shoucair has announced the appointment of Cecil Morgan as managing director of the Transport Authority (TA), effective June 1.
According to the Authority, Morgan brings a wealth of management experience to the organisation, having worked as a senior executive for over 31 years in the private and public sectors. Morgan worked at YP Seaton and Associates as Data Processing Consultant from 1985-1987, the Authority said in a release Monday.
He also held several management positions at the Jamaica Public Service from 1989-2007 where he managed the Programme Management Office, Information Technology, Training and Learning Centre, Technical Support & Major Projects and Systems Support and Enhancement departments.
He then moved on to the Transport Authority in 2008 and held the position of general manager of operations until 2013.
In his new post Morgan will provide leadership in the operations of the TA and formulate and implement corporate policies/strategies to achieve operational excellence and fulfilment of the oganisation’s mandate.
