Chinese woman accused of working without permit
ST ANDREW, Jamaica — A Chinese woman is scheduled to go on trial in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on November 8 for reportedly working illegally in the country.
Su Panpan was recently arrested and charged with working without a permit.
According to the investigating officer, the accused was spotted serving customers and collecting money in a store at Clock Tower Plaza in Half-Way-Tree.
However, Attorney Clifford Smith told the court last Friday that his client is not guilty.
Hence, the matter was set for trial and Panpan’s bail was extended.
