Clarendon residents get free health checks
CLARENDON, Jamaica — Scores of Clarendon residents have descended on the Evelyn Mitchell Infant School in Brandon Hill, where an 84-member medical team from the United State is providing free health services for four days.
The medical mission, which is now in its fourth year, was organised by the LJDR David Foundation.? The services include dental, heart test, gynecology, dermatology, and blood tests.
Patients who are in need of medication will also received up to three months supply.
The team will also be assisting people who are in need of wheelchairs, walkers and pampers. When OBSERVER ONLINE visited the school earlier today a number of young and old people were seen awaiting care.? The foundation’s founder, Novelete David, said she is excited to give back to her community and that it is very rewarding to know that she is able to assist her country folks.
The medical team is from St Francis Hospital in New York.
