Cop slams Transport Authority vehicle into suspected taxi
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A motorist and his passengers were left shaken up and frightened this morning after a Transport Authority vehicle driven by a police officer was intentionally slammed into the motorcar on North Street downtown Kingston.
“Mi never expect say them [Transport Authority] would do something like that. A better them did stop the car,” one of the passengers told OBSERVER ONLINE.
“Mi frighten and shake up, mi nuh used to this. A no taxi mi tek so mi nah look fi this,” said another passenger.
Meanwhile the driver was adamant that the Transport Authority could not impound his car as he was not operating an illegal taxi.
“Tek weh mi car if unnuh tink unnuh bad, mek wi go court. A nuh everybody a taxi driver,” he told the cop and Transport Authority personnel.
