Cops arrest four after finding two illegal guns
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Four people were yesterday arrested in connection with the seizure of two illegal firearms in separate incidents in Clarendon and Portland.
In the first incident, two people were arrested when the Port Antonio Police seized a homemade firearm in Lime Tree Lane, Portland about 5:30 am.
The lawmen say operations were being conducted in the area when an apartment was searched and a homemade firearm was discovered on a window pane.
Then, about 5:30pm, the Crofts Hill Police seized one King Cobra 357 Magnum and a magazine containing six 9mm rounds of ammunition at a premises in Chapleton, Clarendon.
The lawmen reported that operations were being conducted in the area when the firearm and ammunition were discovered in a pouch on the floor.
Two people were also arrested in connection with this find.
