Cops found guilty of murder in Manchester Circuit Court
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — Two policemen who were charged with the shooting death of Anthony ‘Tony’ Richards in Alligator Pond on New Year’s Day 2010 were found guilty of murder in the Manchester Circuit court today (Wednesday, November 19).
The convicted cops, Detective Constables Tyrone Findlay and Leonard Lindsay, will be sentenced on Friday.
Richards was reportedly shot during an encounter with the cops who are assigned to the Mandeville Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) but were, for the public holiday, on special duty in Alligator Pond, at the Southern end of the parish.
