DK Duncan sad Portia being pushed out
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — Veteran People’s National Party (PNP) official Dr DK Duncan has expressed sadness that President Portia Simpson Miller, who he said has done so much for the party and Jamaica, is being pushed to step down as PNP leader.
Duncan made the comment to journalists a short while ago after the party’s National Executive Council ended its meeting at Hatfield Primary and Junior High School in Manchester.
Duncan was apparently referring to last week’s Sunday Observer lead story that reported PNP officials fuming that Simpson Miller had refused to vacate the presidency before the budget debate.
